Urban camouflage… animal style!
0
0
Deforestation and development, strip malls and fast food restaurants. Every year man pushes back nature's boundaries, and every year more and more animal and insect species disappear. Or do they? Perhaps they've adapted and evolved to blend into the city environment and we just don't notice them, as in the themepost.

The rules of this contest are thus: Your challenge is to show us how animals and insects have evolved and developed the camouflage necessary to become almost unseen in their new urban environment. Have fun. Be clean. No cliches. You will have 48 hours for this contest, so make your submission count.

Sneaking in on the new TV reality show was a doddle - although slightly sore at times

Teatoise
This is a teatoise.
After tortoises had their habitats destroyed by man, they were forced to live in old kitchens... thus forcing them to evolve their shells into teapots as to blend in with their surroundings.

Lemon Frog
I've been lucky enough to get a photo of the infamous Lemon Frog (Frogus Lemonlookalikeus*) at my local supermarket's produce stand.
It dissapeared seconds after i took the foto, hiding himself in the big pile of lemons.
Compresion sure scares this little fellow so full view if you have the time.
